RUC’s Institute for the Promotion of Chinese Language?and?Culture?is one of the earliest research centers set up by Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters. It conducts a wide range of research projects on Chinese contemporary and traditional culture.?As of 2007, RUC and Hanban have regularly co-hosted?the World Conference on Sinology.
